Fall is finally in the air, and we are embarking on a week of education, training, and networking at our annual conference of NAEPC. This is a wonderful time of year for planners to reflect on many of our accomplishments for the year but also to brace ourselves for the many changes we are expecting in 2025. With change comes innovation and new planning techniques for our clients in this ever-evolving estate and tax world for which we live. We hope our latest edition provides you with thought provoking tools in your arsenal to get the juices flowing on all that is possible.
The annual conference is also a time to build on and create new relationships within our multidisciplinary membership. Collaboration has always been the theme, and I would like to take this time to introduce to you a newly appointed collaborator on our Journal. Katie Sheehan has stepped into the shoes of Co-Editor-in-Chief. Katie is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategist with Crestwood Advisors, LLC. During her years of private practice Katie focused on estate planning, trust and estate administration, charitable planning, and long-term care planning. While in law school, Ms. Sheehan served as a research assistant for Professor Charles E. Rounds, Jr., aiding in the completion, of Loring A Trustee’s Handbook (2002 Edition). Ms. Sheehan has given numerous presentations on estate and tax planning, regularly serves as a faculty member for MCLE and has been published and quoted in national publications. Ms. Sheehan is a member the Boston Estate Planning Council, where she currently serves as the Secretary. She is also an active NAEPC member where she serves on several committees. Welcome Katie!
As always, I want to thank our many volunteers on the Publication Committee for all their hard work in producing our latest edition. I also want to thank our many authors for their original article submissions. I will continue to reiterate that part of our Mission Statement is to promote excellence in estate planning by delivering exceptional resources and unsurpassed education. We truly appreciate your support.
Please enjoy our latest edition.
